We advocate for policies, legislation, and codes that promote safe, sustainable, and affordable housing opportunities for all New Mexicans. The home building and construction industry is a driving force in the state's economy and since 1959 NMHBA has been trusted resource for housing solutions. 

Our Advocacy engages policymakers, fosters strategic coalitions, and empowers our members to take action. Our efforts focus on supporting legislation and regulations that strengthen the industry while opposing measures that could are detrimental to the industry and housing affordability. By investing in pro-housing, pro-business candidates, we amplify our impact. Additionally, we educate the public and elected officials about the advantages of accessible housing and address the challenges that hinder its development.
